Crosswalk

Some clarification on the proposed crosswalk from the Tower Hill Road Plaza parking lot to the Walking Trail entrance towards the park:

In speaking with the Parks, Recreation and Culture Department, they are waiting for final planning approvals to begin work ont the crosswalk.

The crosswalk project will involve cutting the curbs, posting crosswalk signs to alert drivers and possibly painting lines. There is no plan for signals or lights at this time.

We do need a crosswalk,preferably with lights, ASAP. As a resident of the area, I either walk or drive on Tower Hill almost every day. Many cars, with young and older drivers alike, seem to think that the street is a Racing strip. Very few drivers even come to a Real stop at the Stop sign. It's only a matter of time until someone crossing to the dog park, from the parking lot is injured. We need that crosswalk Now , if not sooner! Speed bumps would also greatly help out.
