Off-Leash Park at Richmond Hill’s Mill Pond?

Well, just for a weekend anyhow! The Richmond Hill K9 Klub is bringing a new attraction to the Richmond Hill Winter Carnival 2012… a temporary off-leash area for two days during the carnival festivities.  It will be located at the north end of the pond near the area where the dog show is held each year.

The purpose is to provide a place for your dog to burn off some energy while the family is having some winter fun and to introduce the leash free park experience to those that have not had a chance to visit a real dog park.  The area will be open during daylight hours and staffed full-time by volunteers.  This will be a terrific time to meet up with K9 Klub members and park users to catch up on the latest news and gossip.

Come out and learn a little about dog park etiquette and find out if your pooch is comfortable and suited for an off-leash social dog environment.  February 4th & 5th, 2012 – see you there!
