Several park patrons arrived to the park this morning only to find the entrance gate padlocked.  After being alerted to this by Global Pet Foods who had received inquiries from concerned park users, and after a quick call to the Town,  the Klub was able to have the padlock off and the park fully accessible  within an hour.  Kudos to Kelly of the Canadian Tire Management Team for providing the bolt cutters and the muscle to get the padlock off!  We suspect this was only a juvenile prank but would remind park patrons to keep an eye open for signs of vandalism or suspicious activity.

A reminder that the Klub can be contacted at parkmaintenance@rhk9klub.ca.

What a terrific day we had yesterday! Though cold, the sun was shining and the Winter Carnival at Mill Pond was the place to be! Members of K9 Klub had a great time helping out with K9 Kapers – thank you Lorraine for being a wonderful host. There was a fantastic turnout of brave pooches willing to give the agility equipment a try and participate in a few games as well. We enjoyed seeing some familiar faces and meeting lots of new folks and their pups. Yours truly was even coerced into saying a few words about the Klub and the Leash free park (have I mentioned I have terrible stage fright Lorraine? LOL) and didn’t do TOO badly ;)

I was truly astounded that 80% of the dog owners we spoke to were unaware of the leash free park! Come on everyone – keep spreading the word!
