Drove by this morning and there was lots of activity – surveyors, trucks etc – nice to see!

I think we are all beginning to wonder if they would EVER start on the park, but the heavy equipment moved in yesterday and work has begun!

Everyone keep their fingers crossed for good weather   :)

The OSPCA is hosting Microchip Clinics at their York Region Branch (16586 Woodbine Ave., Newmarket) from 12 noon – 4pm on September 26th, October 24 and November 28.

It is devastating to lose a pet – the chances of being quickly reunited are greatly increased with microchips.  If you don’t yet have your pet microchipped, we strongly urge you to attend one of these clinics.

How exciting!  Our first blog post and we get to relay that we have a confirmed date for the Grand Opening of Richmond Hill’s first leash-free park!  Sunday, October 25th from 11am to 1pm is party day!

Yesterday we met with the Parks Department to begin planning the event and had some fun throwing ideas around – you’ll have to watch this blog for more details!

Now that you have the “official” opening marked in your calendars, unofficially the park should be up and running well before that.  Some of our members went by the site yesterday and have reported that it doesn’t appear much is happening just yet, but apparently all the ‘behind the scenes’ work is progressing nicely.

We’ll keep you updated as frequently as we can on the construction progress of the park!   :)

Welcome to our brand new blog!

We hope that the addition of this application will be a valuable part of our information system with more frequent updates about the Richmond Hill K9 Klub and the Leash Free Park. This is still in the testing stages as we get everything set-up, so please bear with us for the meantime!

It’s all about the dogs!
